Find out more about us - Our Journey - Our Staff and our Design Team
Our Journey

Tomorrow’s Memories was opened in May 2004 by Clori, Jo, Sue and Chris in James Street, Bassendean. After Sue and Chris left the business, Vicki joined in October 2005. We moved into the current store in December 2005 and have been going strong ever since. As our business has grown we have been mindful of keeping the same warm and friendly atmosphere that our customers have come to love.

Our stock continues to grow, however every piece in our store is still handpicked by the owners to make sure that we continue to stock high quality, interesting, unique items that reflect our store. We pride ourselves on our continued level of customer service and are always happy to search for that unusual item that may not be readily available. Likewise, we are happy to match any Australian prices, (excluding ebay and online stores) on any advertised item, plus offer you 10% off the price difference.

Our Team

Along with Clori, Jo and Vicki, Tomorrow’s Memories has a wonderfully, talented team of staff. All staff are enthusiastic about the papercraft industry and each member has their own individual skills and talents that encompasses what Tomorrow’s Memories has to offer.

This is our wonderful team that you will see when you come into Tomorrow’s Memories.

Clori Didio

I am totally obsessed with this craft that I am so lucky to be working in.  I'm thrilled that I can combine my love of taking photos and scrapbooking to capture and record the little moments and the big ones in my children's lives.

I love owing a shop where I can indulge my obsession and help others to learn how to record their memories in their own unique style.  I am totally amazed at how scrapbooking is constantly evolving and growing and how when I think there couldn't possible be another tool that I "need" or another piece of paper that I love more, something new is released which I must have.

When I'm not busy creating and playing, or running a business I love spending time with my family - my husband Aldo and my georgeous children Luke (9) and Alexandra (7).  I also love going to the movies, reading papercrafting books and magazines, shopping and travelling.

Jo kay

Hi my name is Jo.  I am 42 and a wife to my extremely supportive husband, Phil and mother to Jack (10) and Grace (6).  I think that my love for paper started when I was about 6 years old when (as Mum tells it), I used to wrap up everything that I could find in layers of paper and tape them together!

My creative side continued through high school when the "Art" subjects were always at the top of my list and my love of paper took a more practical approach when I started my first job at an Accountancy Firm.  I moved from New Zealand to Australia and began working in the Children's Services industry which gave me the opportunity to be creative once again.

After meeting Clori and making some great friends through Jack's Kindergarten, I was introduced to the wonderful world of Scrapbooking.  Each week we would dream about how wonderful it would be to have our own store and to cut a very long story short - this is where Tomorrow's Memories was born and the next stage of my hectic life began!!

The last 3+ years have involved some of my biggest lessons in my life!  There have been ups and downs and to tell the truth, sometimes it is harder and tougher than I ever imagined.  But regardless, I can honestly say that I feel extremely lucky to be a part of an industry that allows me the joy and opportunity to fully express myself.  I am forever thankful to have this wonderful craft which enables me to show my family how I truly feel and treasure the little moments that would otherwise be lost amongst the "larger" events in life.

vicki Cowan

My creative life started before I had children playing with fine needle embroidery.  After this I dabbled in card making and this was where I found my best crative outlet.  Some 13 years and three children later I still love card making and off the page projects.  My children have kept me very busy over the years but when my youngest started pre-primary I found I needed to find something more to challenge me, but still keep my hands on time with the kids
.
Two of my good friends told me about them starting Tomorrow's Memories and I am sure I was one of their best customers when they started up.  About 6 months into their business they asked me to join them.  It was very daunting to get back into the work force and keep my family still the main focus in my life.

After a 12 month trial working with Clori and Jo, I bought into the business just before our move to the new store. My family, Georgia 13, Lucas 10 and Jacob 7 all love being involved with the store and all help when we need it.  Even my hubby Ralph gets the drill out and helps when we need it too!

SONYA THAIR

Hi everyone, I am Sonya. I joined Tomorrow’s Memories team around July 2006. I was lucky enough to be asked by Jo, Vicki and Clori to teach the Beginner’s Scrap Course after having my daughter’s school fundraising scrap at the store. Well as most of you would think, it was a dream come true!

I owe my 6 years experience in the Scrapbooking world to my sister-in-law, Jodie. She got me started with Creative Memories but then we expanded and have not looked back since. I would have to say though, that my inspiration for continuing Scrapbooking are my two girls aged 3 and 6 years, and of course my husband who like most husbands, has given it a special name (which I won’t mention), however he is the first one to pull out the albums to show off to everyone!

I don’t like too much on a page and I like to keep things simple, but never say never!! I am always up for a challenge and working in the Tomorrow’s Memories Team, I definitely get that opportunity.

The experience so far at Tomorrow’s Memories has been nothing but fantastic. I love teaching, especially the children’s classes. It is all such a great experience.

LENNIE PELICH

Hi, my name is Lennie.  My career background was in nursing and my first venture into being creative was paper tole, which I really enjoyed and I also had a short stint doing folk art.  I became interested in card making and scrapbooking about four years ago and loved the technqiue of aging paper.

I've been involved in ATC's and Altered Art for almost two years and I especially like fabrics and other mediums used in ATC's and altered books.  I continue my hobby of silk ribbon embroidery and at times combine them with my altered art.  I feel I am constantly learning and evolving and enjoy every minute of this craft.

Rebecca Beattie

Although my name is Rebecca most know me simply as Beck. I am married and in my early 30s. I have been card-making for about 4 years and have more recently moved over to the dark (or should that say bright) world of scrapbooking after wanting to for years. I absolutely love off the page stuff, and working with a 12x12 sheet which at first was quite daunting being card maker, as it is a much larger space.

At the moment I am really enjoying the challenge of journaling on my layouts (of which I have not done too many YET!!)

I am still figuring out what my 'style' is but I guess that it is more on the artistic side as I love to experiment with different mediums for textured effects on my layouts. I am always on the lookout for new products or tools that I can add a new dimension to my work with. I also love anything miniature, (especially when it comes to embellishments) and to experiment with different styles.

Although I still love my card making and giving them away, I am absolutely loving scrapbooking as I am taking the time to document the moments in our lives which are SO important to me.

Alyssa Rowe

I think that I have always had a fascination for making things. I can remember raiding Mum's sewing box for scraps of material, lace and buttons to make pincushions, stockpiling empty tins and wrapping paper to decorate and french knitting endless snakes from left-over wool from the age of about 9.

I have probably tried just about every craft going; cross stitch, candle making and mosaics to name a few. The one thing I have consistently done though, is papercraft. I first got hooked on stamping at a craft show somewhere around 20 years ago (it's a little scary to see that in print!) and I have made cards ever since.

Scrapbooking took me a while to get into. A very good friend tried to persuade me to give it a try, but at the time I didn't really think it was for me. Cue forward a couple of years and another good friend invited me to a Beginner's Class. It only took the one class, and I was hooked. Slightly obsessed is probably more accurate...

My current passion is die cutting and embossing, which gets incorporated into all my cards, scrapbooking and off-the-page projects. I love the versatility of it, and I am always looking for a new way of using the same die, or some new technique I can adapt. It has been know to keep me up at night. Yes, obsessed for sure, but it's not like it's a bad thing, is it?"

Evana Willis

I am a 37yr old stay at home mum to 4 great kids who are a constant inspiration. Kate is 16, Nikita is 10, Liam is 8 & Joel is 2. My wonderful husband Craig has been a huge support for my obsession. You know what they say...."Happy wife, Happy home".

I have been blessed to have create such an envrionment from a hobby that started at a Creative Memories class in 2001. Since then I have held DT spots with Luv2Scrapbook (USA) prior to their change of ownership, DT role with Shop & Crop Australia (Online), and contracts with the Australian Magazine 'For Keeps' & also be an Elite Team member from 2005-2006 (the first kiwi member) , a contract with NZ Magazine 'Up2Scrap' from 2005 - 2006, worked for my local scrapbook store in Nelson where I was also creating and maintaining their blog, purchasing , marketing, & running my own classes. I was proud to be a Fiskars Ambassador for the Nelson Region (NZ)and I am now a Fiskars Ambassador for Perth WA.

We moved to Perth in June this year after my husband took a role with a company here, and we are loving it. I am lucky enough to have my Dad and a heap of other family members here so this transition has been easier than other international relocations.

THAT'S ME! I love this craft. I love the relationships you make along the way, and I especially love to share! My friends all know me as 'e'. I am outgoing and love to chat (as the girls have discovered). I can't wait to meet some WA scrappers as I believe this state is rich in talent, and share some of my creativity with you.

Kristen Sparkes

Hi my name is Kristen, but most people know me as Kris. I am 32 years old, married to a great husband, Adam and we have 2 gorgeous little boys Samuel (2 ½ ) and Nicholas ( 8 months). So as you can imagine my life is very hectic at the moment and I am outnumbered by the boys in our house who keep me on my toes. Prior to having my family I was a teacher in a number of primary schools around Perth and in the country. I absolutely loved teaching but the time has come for me, at the moment, to dedicate time to my growing family and enjoying every moment of their lives, hence my attraction to scrap booking.

I am fairly new to scrap booking and only began after Samuel was born in 2006. Being a teacher I have always had a love of papers, paints, wall displays and anything related to scrap booking. So if you ask me, my passion for scrap booking was meant to be. I love patterned paper and will admit that I often buy it just to look at it, and I’ll probably never use some of it because I can’t bring myself to cut it up. I have become very good at hiding it around the house so Adam won’t find it!!!

Aside from teaching and scrap booking, I love a good catch-up and a cuppa with my extended family and friends. I also love going away on holidays, sitting down with a good magazine and eating chocolate. It was such a great pleasure to be asked by the team at Tomorrow’s Memories, to teach their Beginner’s classes “A Scrap booking Journey” and become a Design Team member. I am so excited to be involved in the journey that every person takes when they tell the story behind their photos and layouts. I am really looking forward to the challenge.

Anne-Marie Cox

My name is Anne-Marie Cox. I am 37 and married to my childhood sweetheart, Aaron. We have 5 (yes! Count them, 5!!!) little darlings; Brad 17, Callie 7, Dylan (who is a girl) 4 and the latest editions, Austin and Albert, 4 months. I am a SAHM for the foreseeable future but I do hope to finish my Bachelor of Business one day soon.

I have always loved paper and pens, I have always been a collector of ephemera and I have always kept some sort of diary or journal. So I think I have always been a scrapper of some description. I was introduced to scrapbooking through Creative Memories about 3 years ago but then found magazines and online forums so I started scrapping as I know it now about 3 years ago.

My initial interest in scrapbooking was to record family history but now I scrap for me, for the fun of it, for the creative outlet... oh and the shopping! I am a complete product junkie and want everything I see!

I have no idea what "my style" is and I like it that way. My taste in scrapping is much like my taste is music, a little bit of everything, so perhaps you could call me “eclectic”. I do like to include embellishments on my LOs that are relevant or symbolic to the story and I try to always include journaling on my pages.

Scrapbooking has introduced me to many wonderful friendships. I have found much inspiration, support and motivation from my fellow scrappers and I am so glad I finally found “my thing” in scrapbooking. I was lucky enough to be named a Scrapbooking Memories Master this year and have loved creating for the magazine. I am also really excited to have been asked to be on the Design Team at Tomorrow’s Memories and I can’t wait to get even more involved in this fabulous craft and all it has to offer.

Amanda D'Souza

Hi, I am Amanda and I have been scrapbooking since 2005 and only really got into it by accident. A friend asked me along to a ‘Moonlight Scrap’ at TM and I had no idea what this entailed but took along my photos with the assurances that “I would like it”. My friend was right and luckily for me I did and the whole world of scrapbooking was opened up to me. My original goal was to complete one album however since then I have not been able to stop!

I have a Bachelor in Arts of Education (Primary) and also a Graduate Diploma in Business (Marketing). I currently work in marketing and I am married to a wonderful man, Jeremy who jokingly says I have joined a “cult”. He constantly teases me about all things scrapping but I know in his heart he is quite proud of my creative efforts. Life has dealt me some hard lessons in recent years and I have learnt that you must enjoy every moment – I think this is why I enjoy scrapbooking so much. It allows you to make new friends, be creative and create a wonderful memory of your family and a workbook of your life for the future generations to enjoy.

I am a photographer at heart but do love crafts and over the years have tried stamping, paper tole, ATC etc but have to say I am addicted to scrapbooking and OTP projects. As time progresses I am getting more confident in developing my scrapbooking style which varies from plain and simple to very ornate shabby chic. I also enjoy travelling, going to the movies, reading and gardening.

My goal is to be published and to see my charity/scrapping ideas into reality. One of my dreams came true this year with the kind invitation by TM to be part of the Design Team and teach the beginners classes. I really enjoy sharing my love of scrapbooking and being part of such a supportive and wonderful group of ladies who make up the Design Team at TM.

Mistra Hoolahan

I have been scrapping for about 8 years, and have settled into a comfortable style of my own in the last couple of years. This last year especially, my scrap journey led me into the world of mixed media; I LOVE bringing it into my scrap art when I can and have delved into the “Off the Page” world with a passion!

I love to try new styles, to push my creative boundaries and learn new techniques, in other words I love to play!! I try to incorporate the mixed media techniques I have learnt into my work… from simple paint right through to using inks, stains, glimmer mists, embossing, alcohol inks, texture paste and gold leaf, whatever it takes to make everything look delicious and the messier the better! My friends laugh at this now as they remember when I hated anything remotely messy.

I believe in capturing not only the big events, but the everyday moments of our lives… it’s these little things that really tell our stories.

I discovered the charm of Tomorrow’s Memories when a friend visited from Melbourne and wanted us to have a ‘girls day out’ scrapping, so we booked into one of the Saturday Scraps and I felt so welcomed and comfortable that I have been popping back since then, each time welcomed with happy, friendly faces!

I adore this art form that brings such happiness, friendships and fun with it and am overjoyed to now be a part of the Tomorrow's Memories Team.

Tina Dalton

Hi, I'm Tina! I am happily married to my partner of 28 years Kim, and together we have 2 grown children Shane and Mindy, One beautiful daughter in law Amy and the most amazing granddaughter in the world Shontay. Our daughter has special needs and lives at home fulltime so I'm a stay at home mum! Which also allows plenty of time for scrapping!!!

I was a card maker for about 8 years, and although I vowed I would never scrapbook, I attended a scrap camp with a close friend about 5 years ago and to say the rest is history is an understatement, I walked away from that camp on the Sunday afternoon and I promise you, I reckon I broke a few speed records on my way to my LSS first thing Monday morning. I was like a kid in a candy store thanks to my new found passion LOL, needless to say I have never looked back.

One of scrapbooking's most precious attributes to me is the wonderful friendships that I have made over the years, combine that with all the awesome products available and tell me how NOT to become addicted

I was so excited when asked to join the Tomorrow's Memories Design Team, and I am truly looking forward to being able to share a part of my scrapbooking journey with such lovely and talented ladies.

Julie Schmitt

Hi, my name is Julie Schmitt, I'm 43 & have been married to my dear hubby for 25 years. We have 3 incredible kids, ranging in age from 24 years to 8 years plus 2 gorgeous little grandkids. I became interested in crafts after the birth of my first child & did lots of cross stitching, sewing & folk art.

About 5 years ago my eldest daughter & I decided to have a craft get together once a week. It was my turn to plan the project & I found some little card kits in KMart that looked like fun. We loved making those cards so much, it was like a light bulb being switched on & we became obssessed very quickly. Since then, card making has become my passion & I also enjoy doing off the page projects.

I have been very fortunate to have met so many supportive, inspirational friends through this wonderful hobby & I am thrilled to be asked to join the team at Tomorrow's Memories.

Mel Connell

Hiya Im Mel. I am 34 and spend my days with my partner of 15 years Lawley and my fur Baby Olive.

I have been paper crafting for some ten years now. Hard to believe it’s been that long but it has. I first made contact with this craft through none other than a home workshop with Creative Memories. I don’t think I could have ever have believed that paper and glue and photos would consume my life the way that it has, but I am so very thankful it did. Within weeks I had a local store that I practically lived at and there was no turning back. Obsession with a capital O.

I have been working and teaching in the Scrapbooking industry for four and a bit years now and just love every aspect of the journey. As much as I am a product junky and just love all the pretty stuff, I think the best thing that has come from this craft for me is the connections and friendships I have made. It amazes me everyday how friendly and warm hearted everyone in this craft is.  Just love that.

I have achieved a few small accolades in the industry early on in my paper crafting days but most recently I am proud to be on both the Twiddleybitz and Angie Delarie Products Design Teams. I have also in the past Guest Design Teamed for Collections Elements and am Currently one of the Do-Craft Scrapbook Apprentices.
